How long is the TOEFL test?

The TOEFL iBT test lasts approximately 3.5 hours, with each section (Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing) taking up a specific portion of that time.

Is there a paper-based version of the TOEFL?

Yes, there’s the TOEFL PBT (paper-based test), but it’s less common than the iBT (internet-based test) and is only offered in areas without internet access.

How often can I retake the TOEFL?

You can retake the TOEFL as many times as you want, but only once within a 12-day period.

How is the TOEFL scored?

The TOEFL iBT score ranges from 0 to 120, with each of the four sections (Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing) scored out of 30.

When will I receive my TOEFL scores?
